If your interested in implementing a simple badge reader in your organization, but don't know all the in's and out's concerning which system would be best for your company... you came to the right place. 

Below you will find information relating to both the Time Wolf Plus and Time Wolf Zephyr systems and their recommended usage.

Time Wolf Plus, comes with the Time Wolf Software and an added barcode badge reader (with 10 cards). The barcode reader comes with a power cable, and a 5.5 ft. serial cable which connects directly to a computer. 

To operate the Time Wolf Plus Scanner, employees simply swipe their pre-assigned barcode badge through the slot. If it is accepted then the employee hears a short beep and a small led light will flash. 

The Time Wolf Plus System is perfect for small businesses with under 50 employees, where the computer is utilized frequently, but employees generally pass by when they arrive and leave.

The Time Wolf Zephyr System is similar to the Time Wolf Plus system in that it comes with the Time Wolf Software, and uses a badge. But that's where the similarities end. The Time Wolf Zephyr uses a proximity badge, which means that the badge never actually comes into contact with the machine. Employees simply wave it in front of the clock. Once the badge is read, the Time Wolf Zephyr gives a spoken confirmation.

The Time Wolf Zephyr is also a smart clock. A smart clock is capable of storing information in its memory banks. With the ability to store 10,000 transactions, the Time Wolf Zephyr can be used in a mobile situation as well as a direct connection. The Time Wolf Zephyr can also utilize a TCP/IP connection with a network, which means the Time Wolf Zephyr does  not have to be close to the computer that Time Wolf is installed on.
